Hen Dinas Dinorwig rises to approximately 550 metres and is part of the rugged terrain of the Eryri (Snowdonia) mountain range. Its name may derive from the Welsh for 'Old Fort of Dinorwig', hinting at possible ancient defensive structures or settlements in the area. The hill matters as a geographical feature within a landscape rich in both natural beauty and historical significance.
