Hell's Hole Cavern, Malin Head

Hell's Hole Cavern was formed by coastal erosion, where wave action has carved a deep fissure into the basalt rock along Malin Head's cliffs. Locally, it is associated with folklore referring to its roaring tide as the "roar of hell," though no archaeological remains have been recorded within the site.
