Helen Chenevix

Helen Chenevix was born in Blackrock, County Dublin, on 13 November 1886, the daughter of a Church of Ireland bishop and a woman named Charlotte Sophia Ormsby. She later became a suffragette and trade unionist, co-founding the Irish Women's Suffrage Federation and the Irish Women Workers' Union before serving twice as acting Lord Mayor of Dublin.
