The public map records this plaque for Hannah More. Its recorded inscription reads: Hannah More, 1745‒1833. Christian educationalist, writer and anti-slavery campaigner, was born in the master’s house of this charity school, built c.1728
Hannah More was a prominent British abolitionist, writer, and advocate for women's education in the 18th century, known for her efforts against slavery and her establishment of schools for the poor.
