Hachured is a fairy fort in County Clare, Ireland, where the earth still holds the shape of a ringfort. It belongs to the old world of Clare, where boundaries between the seen and unseen never fully closed. The fort stands as a marker of human life, perhaps residence, perhaps ritual, now reduced to a ridge in the landscape.
