Habitation site in Nevitt — Report the wrong picture

What is recorded here

Mud and marrow still remember the hands that built Nevitt, even though no name remains to cite them. A straight enclosure cut by a drainage ditch suggests people lived there long enough to break bones and discard them without ceremony. They may have argued, loved, starved or feasted inside walls now erased by time and development. The landfill never landed on more than ghost lines in soil, leaving the occupants free to continue occupying the dark.

Geophysical survey (Licence no. 05R062) in advance of a proposed landfill identified rectilinear anomalies. Test excavation (Licence no. 05E1063) confirmed the presence of a rectilinear enclosure bisected by a drainage ditch. Domestic waste recovered from the trenches, such as disarticulated animal bone suggest a settlement site, but no datable evidence was retrieved (Lohan 2006, 25).
