Toughmacdermody holds a graveyard where bones appeared beneath a slab during local discovery around 1945. The twelve-metre square remains unbroken by ploughs because field stones dump along its edges instead of cutting through the dead. That simple boundary separates living land from remembered loss.

In arable land at base of gentle E-facing slope, in corner of field. According to local information, bones discovered underneath slab c. 1945. Area (c. 12m x c. 12m) never ploughed, field clearance stones dumped on edges. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Cork.
