What is recorded here
Graveyard in Kilcop Upper is a lost burial place on a small elevated plateau in County Waterford, Ireland. A circular enclosure marked the parish church in 1840, but pasture and time have erased every visible edge. The dead may still lie beneath the grass, waiting for someone to remember the shape of the place.
Situated in pasture on a small elevated plateau. This is the site of the parish church of Kilcop (WA018-025001-) which is marked 'Site of Graveyard' on the 1840 ed. of the OS 6-inch map, where the outline of a circular enclosure (WA018-025002-) was visible (Power 1906, 35). Nothing is visible now in pasture at ground level.
Power, Rev. P. (1906a) The place-names of the Decies WAJ 9, 12-39, 80-106, 154-70, 228-65.
