Graveyard in Kilbline

Graveyard

What is recorded here

Kilbline's missing graveyard suggests people died, were remembered, then forgot. The field may have swallowed whole lives, not just bones. That is not nothing. It is a chamber where certainty stops and imagination begins.
In a reclaimed field. It is likely that there was a graveyard associated with the medieval church (KK024-083001-) of Kilbline, however, no graveyard is indicated on the 1st (1839) ed. OS 6-inch map or on the later revision of this map (1899-1902). When describing the medieval church, Carrigan (1905, vol. 3, 485) mentions, ‘There is no trace of graveyard or graves’.
