Graveyard in Dunlavin Upper is a public park where seventeenth-century gravestones line the walls. The church beside it was demolished before 1838, but Katherin Hughes, Ann Wilkins and an unknown William still stand out from the grass. Children may run between stones that outlived a whole church, carrying death into play instead of fear.

The church was demolished before 1838 and replaced by the present Church of Ireland parish church. Bradley and King (1989, 39-40) record that 'the graveyard has been turned into a public park with the gravestones arranged around the walls.' Three seventeenth century head stones survive (Katherin Hughes ob. 1668 (WI015-016003-), Ann Wilkins ob. 1694 (WI015-016004-), Will(iam).....(?) ob. 167? (WI015-016005-)).
