A 'churchyard' in Cooloultha, described by Carrigan (1905, vol. 2, 279) as 'uprooted in the year 1847, previous to which it consisted of a circular enclosure (KK003-035003-), like a rath, with no trace of graves or headstones. The church (KK003-035001-), which was of very early times, had disappeared centuries before, leaving, however, down to the present day a distinct tradition of its existence'.
