What is recorded here

Graveyard in Cargin stands south of its church in County Galway, crowded with headstones carved during the late 19th century. That timing suggests a period of growth or tragedy when the community needed more room for the dead. The stones may have risen quickly after fever, famine memory or simple population pressure. They still point south toward the church, linking the living and dead in one small Galway landscape.
