The graveslab of Christopher Sherlock (1639) is now missing from the Franciscan church (WA009-005032-), (Mems. Dead II (1892-4), 368). It was unearthed in the 1860s on the grounds of the Franciscan chapel on Lady Lane and may have been associated with the parish church of Our Lady (WA009-005021-). It had two crests, probably of Sherlock and Fagan, and the raised Latin inscription read (in translation): Christopher Sherlock, Merchant, to the memory of his mother, Margaret Fagen, wife of James Sherlock, (son of John the Armiger) who afterwards married Richard Shee, Knight, and died Augt. 21 st, 1639.
