What is recorded here

This graveslab is set high up on the outer face of the W end of the church’s south wall. It has an incomplete incised inscription that has been read (Bradley and King 1985, 168) as: HIC JACE.. / KENED QV.. / PREPOSIT QV../ MA..N. / HABVT N../ GARRY ../ FILI.. Medieval Christian graveslab, 13th–14th century. It is significant as an example of early ecclesiastical funerary monuments and contains a partial inscription indicating a local church official, providing insight into medieval religious administration.
