Graveslab in Templemartin (gowran By., Clara Ed) lies flat in the chancel of St. Martin's medieval church, marking Richard Shortall and Ellis Purcell beneath a raised eight-pointed cross. His name appears beside Rathardmore and a missing March date in 1584, while her line preserves December 23, 1562. The stones still hold the shape of two lives that crossed in a small Irish church, waiting to be remembered through the marks they left behind.

In the chancel of St. Martin's medieval church (KK020-009001-). One of two 16th-century graveslabs (see also KK020-009006-) within the chancel. Described by Carrigan (1905, vol. 3, 363) as, 'a floor-slab with a raised eight-pointed cross down the centre, and the following raised letter Old English [Black Letter] inscription [in latin] around the edge: Hic jacent Ricardus [Sh]ortale quodam dns de rahirtmore qui obit [ ] die me Marche Ano Di mccccc 84, et Elicia Purcell uxor ei que obit xxiii die mesis decebcis ano do mccccclxii. Translation - Here lie Richard Shortall, lord of Rathardmore, who died the [ ] of March 1584, and his wife Ellis Purcell, who died Dec. 23rd 1562'.
