Donough Macna Mara died in 1654 and lies beneath a broken limestone slab at the east end of Quin Abbey nave. The stone measures 0.9m long, tapers to 0.23m at the top, and snaps across its middle in two places. Weathering has erased most of the English inscription, leaving only fragments of his name and date. He rests beside a side altar near the crossing tower, forgotten by time but still named in the marble's scars.

Lying recumbent at the E end of the nave of Quin Abbey (CL042-027002-) adjacent to a side altar near the crossing tower. A limestone graveslab (L 0.9m; Wth 0.43m tapering to 0.23m at the top; D 0.07m). According to Westropp (1892-4, 279) the inscription in English reads ‘[Here lies the [body of] Donough [Macna] Mara of Ba…… who de[cease]d 1654.’ The slab is very weathered and is broken right across the middle in two places.
