What is recorded here
Graveslab in Naas East is a rectangular sandstone slab outside the east gable wall of St. David's Church, bearing Roman lettering that commemorates Elizabeth Brereton in 1694. Its measured frame, 1.46m long and 0.6m wide, still lies where the church edge catches light, inviting a person to read the name and imagine the life lost behind it.
According to Bradley et al. (1986 vol. 4, 366), a rectangular sandstone slab (dims. L 1.46m; Wth 0.6m) outside the E gable wall of St. David's Church (KD019-030020-) bears an inscription in Roman lettering commemorating Elizabeth Brereton, 1694.
