Graveslab in Naas East

Graveslab

What is recorded here

Graveslab in Naas East is a black shaly slab set into the centre aisle of St. David's Church, commemorating Susanna Heale in 168(?). It lies where foot traffic still passes, turning a forgotten life into a marker under ordinary movement. The church keeps her name visible while the town walks over the shape of her memory.
According to Bradley et al. (1986 vol. 4, 365), a black, shaly, rectangular slab (dims. L 1.71m; Wth 0.63) set into the centre aisle of St. David's Church (KD019-030020-) commemorates Susanna Heale, 168(?). Compiled by: Gearóid Conroy Date of upload: 10 June 2011
