What is recorded here
Four late 17th century graveslabs located in the graveyard to the S of the Franciscan Friary (JKAS vol. 9, 1918-22, 23-32). A large slab resting on top of the O'Conor vault at the N end of the E wall of the graveyard is decorated with the O'Conor arms and a long inscription in Latin, which is now only decipherable in part. It commemorates members of the family from the late 17th century through to the 19th century (Fitzpatrick and O'Brien 1998, 146).
