What is recorded here
Inishcaltra is a small island graveyard where one undecorated stone lies flat in the west half, not far from either wall. The place belongs to memory rather than display: a body, a burial, and the sea around it. Macalister drew the slab in 1916-17 but gave it no number, as if even his plan hesitated to claim the dead.
Situated in the W half of the Saint’s graveyard (CL029-009030-) on Inis Cealtra, 13m from the S wall and 8.5m from the W wall. An undecorated recumbent graveslab (L 1.65m; Wth 0.47m) drawn but not numbered on Macalister’s plan of the graveyard (1916-17, pl. XV).
