What is recorded here
Westropp (1904-5, 450) recorded the following details about Kilfrush; 'Its graveyard, in Mr. Gubbins' demesne, had then been levelled by him. The well (LI040-034----) was Tobercolman'. In 1840 the Ordnance Survey Letters recorded that 'an old graveyard where there were, some time ago, some remains of an old church (LI040-035001-) observable is situated in the Demesne of Mr. Gubbins. The grave yard is not much in use' (OSL Kilfrush Parish). Site of Kilfrush Church stood in centre of square shaped graveyard (approx. dims. 30m) located 60m N of Kilfrush House.
