Grave Yd

Graveyard

What is recorded here

Grave Yd is a rectangular graveyard in County Cork, Ireland, where a 17th century church still stands in the centre while headstones mark deaths from the 1800s to the present day. People enter through a 19th century lynch-gate on the north side, stepping past dead centuries into a place where living memory keeps being written. The chamber holds more than bone and stone; it holds every witness who ever stood inside it, waiting to be remembered.
