Grave Yd. is a disused rectangular burial ground in County Laois, Ireland, holding 18th and 19th century memorials inside a stone wall. Comerford called it an ancient, still-used cemetery, yet no church remains and no local tradition preserves one. The absence turns the place into a threshold: a field where death continued without witness, and memory itself became the architecture.

Not marked in gothic on the 1841 or 1909 eds OS 6-inch maps. Reference to graveyard here (Comerford, M. p. 137). All visible headstones post 1700 AD. According to Comerford this was the site of an ancient and still used cemetery, but no traces of a church are observable, nor is there any local tradition as to one having stood there (Comerford 1883-6, p. 137). Rectangular shaped graveyard (int. dims. 14m N-S; 38m E-W) enclosed by a stone wall containing 18th and 19th century memorials.
