What is recorded here

Grave Yd is a living graveyard on a south-west slope above Clonakilty Bay, where the oldest visible headstones date to the 1810s and burial continues today. Its rectangular earth bank and D-shaped corner suggest a place shaped repeatedly rather than designed once. The ruined church inside remains the centre of a landscape still giving up its dead to the bay wind.
