What is recorded here
Situated at the crest of the N-facing slope of broad plateau. The older Roman Catholic church of Garranlahan (RO032-015001-) was just E of the present church. It was in a sub-triangular graveyard (dims c. 60m N-S; c. 45m E-W at S) with the apex at N (1837 ed. of the OS 6-inch map). The graveyard was extended to surround the present church on the N side and it was subsequently extended further to the N. While a cairn (RO032-015003-) was evident in the modern graveyard (Gannon 1972), it has since been removed.
