Grave Yard hid beneath gently undulating pasture on the north bank of the Camoge River, close enough to the Friary for prayer and burial to share one breath. The 1840 survey never marked it, as if the dead had asked to remain unnamed. Then river dredging in 1978 buried the low, uninscribed markers under a broad heap of spoil, turning memory into guesswork. The place still matters because forgetting it would mean agreeing that the dead never lived there at all.

This area now covered by linear spoil heap (Wth c. 4-5m) of material dredged from the river in 1978; landowner remembers area with low, uninscribed gravemarkers before the dredging.
