Gortalassa Fort, Ballysheen More is a ringfort, likely dating to the early medieval period, commonly associated with ancient Irish farming communities. Local folklore may link it to fairy traditions, as many such forts were believed to be inhabited by supernatural beings or linked to otherworldly realms.
