Goodwood Aerodrome, located near Chichester in West Sussex, was originally a World War I airfield and later became a civilian airfield in the 1920s. It is historically significant as the venue for the first air race in the UK, the London to Manchester Air Race in 1921, and is associated with early British aviation pioneers.
