Godrevy Lighthouse, built by Trinity House in 1859, was a key navigational aid warning ships of the hazardous Godrevy reef off the Cornish coast. It is famously associated with Virginia Woolf, who used it as a setting in her 1927 novel *To the Lighthouse*.
