Gob an Dùin is a sea cliff or coastal rock feature located in the Na h-Eileanan Siar archipelago, likely composed of metamorphic or igneous rock typical of the region's ancient Lewisian Gneiss. These rocks are among the oldest in Britain, dating back approximately 3 to 3.5 billion years, and were formed through high-pressure and high-temperature metamorphism of earlier Precambrian rocks. The feature is notable for its geological significance as part of the ancient basement complex of the British Isles.
