What is recorded here

Flanafressan, or Goat Island, is a twenty-two-metre oval of earth and stone trapped in the eastern reaches of Grange Lough. It hovers barely a metre above the water, wearing the exact shape of an ancient crannog yet refusing to show any human hands in its making. The dual name hints that goats once grazed its hidden edges while the local tongue kept a forgotten meaning alive. It remains a quiet puzzle, dressed in vegetation and waiting for someone to ask whether nature or people built the trap.
Goat Island is recorded as a islet in County Roscommon. Its open map record supplies this location and any linked names or public references.
