Indicated is a fairy fort or earthen ringfort in Kilgarve (ballintober North By.), County Roscommon, Ireland. It appears as a D-shaped grass and reed-covered area measuring 55m north-south and 51m east-west, defined by a slight earthen bank and scarp. The site sits on a slight northwest-facing slope about 50m east from the east shore of Grange Lough, with no visible fosse or entrance.

Marked only on the 1914 ed. of the OS 6-inch map as a circular field (diam. c. 55m), and situated on a slight NW-facing slope, c. 50m E from the E shore of Grange Lough. D-shaped grass and reed-covered area (dims 55m N-S; 51m E-W) defined by a slight earthen bank (at S: Wth 5.3m; int. H 0.1m; ext. H 0.3m) E-SW and a scarp (H 0.5-0.6m) NW-E. It is truncated by a scarp (H 1.1m) and hedge at W. There is no visible fosse or entrance. Rath (RO018-023----) is c. 200m to the SE. Compiled by: Michael Moore Date of upload: 24 August 2010
