Glenisla

Wreck

What is recorded here

The National Monuments Record of Wales records Glenisla as Wreck from the Ôl-ganoloesol period. The saved point comes from the official national record. Inclusion does not by itself mean that the public may enter the place.
The Glenisla was a British steamship that sank in 1917 during World War I after striking a mine in the Irish Sea. The vessel was en route from Belfast to London when it was lost, resulting in the deaths of all 14 crew members; its cargo of steel and machinery was also lost.

The historic-place record does not grant public access. Check current conditions and ownership before entering land or a building.
