On the night of 31 May 1991, a driverless Mercedes loaded with two and a half thousand pounds of explosive rolled down a hillside near Mountnorris, crashed through the Glenanne perimeter fence, and destroyed part of the Ulster Defence Regiment barracks. Three soldiers died and fourteen others were wounded while masked men watched from a nearby van, turning a quiet outpost into a sudden graveyard. The attack struck during failed peace talks, proving that dialogue could not stop a lorry from becoming a weapon.
Glenanne barracks bombing is a bomb attack in County Armagh, Ireland.
