Entrance gateway to Glandalane House, erected c. 1830, comprising square-profile inner and outer ashlar limestone piers with plinths, string courses and carved caps with cast-iron finials, limestone wheel guards, and double-leaf cast-iron vehicular gates, with roughcast rendered walls connecting inner and outer piers and having render coping. Pedestrian gateway to west side, having similar piers and single-leaf gate. Detached two-bay single-storey gate lodge to west, built c. 1830, now in disuse. Hipped slate roof with rendered chimneystack. Roughcast rendered walls. Square-headed window openings, some with quarry glazing and some with two-over-two pane timber sliding sash windows, all with painted render sills. Square-headed door opening with replacement glazed timber door. Square-headed door opening to west.

The entrance gates to Glandalane House make a fine roadside feature, articulating the high quality craftsmanship of local stone and iron workers. The decorative details considerably enhance the piers and gates. The associated gate lodge adds context and is enhanced by the retention of quarry-glazed windows and the slate roof.
