What is recorded here

Megalithic tombs in County Clare date to the Neolithic period, when people first built large stone chambers for the dead. Giants Grave belongs to that ancient tradition of marking death with permanent stone. The name suggests local people once imagined giant beings buried there, giving the tomb a mythic scale beyond human measurement.
