What is recorded here

Gateway, c.1820, comprising pair of rendered channelled piers with moulded cornices, rusticated screen walls, rendered terminating piers and cast-iron inner piers having wrought iron double gates and flanking pedestrian gates. Road fronted.
This gateway is a fine and somewhat ornate composition that provides a foil to the simplicity of the house which it announces on the side of the road. Based on a symmetrical design the gates, including curvilinear detailing to the latches, are of some artistic significance, whilst providing an example of early iron work that remains in good condition.

This does not grant access. Most recorded buildings are privately owned; view them only from public ground unless the owner allows entry.
