What is recorded here
Gateway, extant 1901, on a symmetrical plan comprising pair of cut-granite panelled piers on stepped plinths having corbelled stepped stringcourses below gabled capping supporting cast-iron double gates with cut-granite panelled outer piers on stepped plinths having corbelled stepped stringcourses below gabled capping supporting cast-iron serpentine railings. Repositioned, 1987. Road fronted on a corner site.
A gateway not only making a pleasing visual statement in a sylvan street scene, but also surviving as a repurposed relic of the nearby Shanganagh Park estate (cf. 60260121).
This does not grant access. Most recorded buildings are privately owned; view them only from public ground unless the owner allows entry.
