Field gates, erected c.1860, comprising a pair of dressed limestone gate piers, on square-plan with moulded cut limestone capstones over, supporting a pair of wrought-iron double gates with decorative finials and curled clasps. Central gate piers flanked by smaller outer cut limestone gate piers on square-plan with pyramidal capstones over. Boundary wall runs away to the east and west. Located to the south of Horseleap and adjacent to the west of the gates to Ballard House (15403704).

An unusually decorative gateway, which forms an unusually fine entrance to a field/agricultural land. It is constructed using good quality limestone masonry while the distinctive and elaborate wrought-iron gates further embellish the aesthetics of this appealing feature. These wrought-iron gates and very similar to a pair located to the north (15403712), suggesting that they may have being crafted by the same hand and, perhaps, gave access to land in the same ownership. These simple gates and piers are an appealing feature in the rural landscape to the south of Horseleap and are a subtle part of the architectural heritage of the area, attesting to a high quality workmanship.
