Gasgale Crags is a sea cliff or coastal rock feature composed of Carboniferous limestone, formed around 340–320 million years ago through the accumulation of marine sediments. It is notable for its exposure of durable limestone strata, which may reflect the region’s geological history of shallow tropical seas and subsequent uplift.
