What is recorded here

Detached five-bay two-storey garage, built c.1940, with extension to rear. Set within its own yard. Pitched corrugated asbestos roof with roof lights with some cast-iron rainwater goods. Rendered walls with stepped and gabled parapet to front elevation. Timber windows with concrete sills. Glazed doors. Modern covered forecourt to front site with petrol pumps.
This mid twentieth-century garage, though renovated to accommodate a modern service station, retains some of its original character. With a stepped and gabled parapet, masking the pitched roof, and linear fenestration, this commercial structure expresses a functional design that was influenced by the Art Deco movement.
