What is recorded here

On an elevation, 0.6m SW of the recumbent stone of a five-stone circle (KE101-012001-). This standing stone (1.25m x 0.55m; H 3.1m) is rectangular in plan and section and is orientated ENE-WSW. An enclosure (KE101-012003-) lies c. 16m to the NW. The above description is derived from the published 'Archaeological Inventory of County Kerry. Probably dating to the Neolithic or Early Bronze Age, this standing stone may have been part of a ritual or ceremonial landscape associated with the nearby stone circle and enclosure. Its orientation and positioning suggest it may have had astronomical or symbolic significance, possibly linked to seasonal markers or territorial boundaries.
