What is recorded here

Gallaun is a 3.43 metre standing stone in Glanleam, County Kerry, set inside a later earthwork called Cromwell's Fort. The ancient upright predates the fort by millennia, creating a layered collision where new boundaries swallowed old sacred ground. A leaning slab now braces its base, perhaps added after Chatterton found it shaking in 1839, proving human hands kept the ancient marker upright through centuries of weather and forgetting.
