Gallaun is a limestone standing stone on a Galway grassland rise, reduced to an electric fence support. It stands one metre thirty high, narrower at the top than the base, aligned north to south. The stone may have marked a boundary, a burial or a prayer before fences existed. Now it holds wire instead of memory, still doing work on the same land.

On a rise in grassland. This standing stone consists of a limestone slab (H 1.3m; base Wth 0.53m; Wth at top 0.32m) that is rectangular in plan and aligned N-S.
