Red sandstone rises through level Kerry pasture, its uneven body catching light like a forgotten marker. A 1938 account claimed handprints on a taller stone near Farranfore, but no marks appeared when the boulder was inspected later. The missing prints do not weaken the place; they suggest a boundary between memory and evidence, with the stone still standing witness to what was seen, forgotten or never recorded.

In level pasture. An upright red sandstone boulder (dims. 0.48m x 0.74m; H 1.6m), irregular in plan. This may be the stone near Farranfore described in 1938 as being 'six and a half feet [1.98m] high bearing prints of a man's hand' (Schools Manuscript, Co. Kerry) though no marking were noted on the stone at the time of inspection.
