What is recorded here

Gallaun is a tall standing stone in Glanleam, County Kerry, caught inside a later fort named for Cromwell. The stone predates that fort by millennia, forcing the fortress to share its corner with an older presence. Its base still holds packing stones and a leaning slab, evidence that people kept returning to steady what time had loosened.
