Gallaun

This tall standing stone is conspicuously located in flat, marshy land W of the Caragh river. It stands 2.84m high and measures .7m x .28m at base; E-W. Irregular in elevation, it increases in width from its base to a maximum of 1.3m before tapering sharply on its W side towards a rather pointed top. Approximately 135m to S is another, smaller standing stone KE072-010----. The above description is derived from A. O'Sullivan and J.
