Gallaun

This standing stone is located in low-lying pastureland, W of Kenmare town. Its sides rise vertically for most of its height and then taper slightly towards a straight-edged top. It stands to a height of 1.6m, and its basal dimensions are 1.15m x .7m; NNW-SSE. A possible packing stone lies against its NW face. The above description is derived from A. O'Sullivan and J.
