Gallaun

No visible standing stone remains at Gallaun today, though a tall upright once stood inside Cromwell's Fort on the Iveragh Peninsula. The prehistoric stone predates the later earthwork by millennia, creating a layered collision of time where an old marker became trapped inside a younger military boundary. Whatever human hands shook, supported or forgot the stone, the ground has now taken back its shape, leaving only the fort and the memory of a vertical shadow in pasture.
