What is recorded here

Gallán is a leaning standing stone in rough grazing on the NW foothills of Musheramore, County Cork. It stands 1.6m tall, almost square in plan, tilted heavily south-southwest with its long axis running east-west. The stone has resisted every survey and mapping effort, absent from both the 1842 and 1904 Ordnance Survey charts. It belongs to nobody visible, which is why it still belongs to the hill.
